I put it on mute too, either I'm getting old too or fergie had a sore throat.
Since you brought up age, I want to ask your opinion on something. If you were offered a one year job overseas that paid in the 150,000+ range but your ultimate goal was to be a reporter, would you ditch your dream for a year and make some good money or put your blinders on and go full steam ahead... At the age of 27, I feel like If I take this amazing opportunity I would be saying goodbye to TV News.
Sore throat or not, that isn't singing... it's screaming. There was nothing musical about it.
As for your job, you can always get back into news...plenty of people leave and come back. If you can sock that kind of money away, why not? Of course, it depends on what the job is. If you're going to some war hot spot like Egypt, no amount of money is worth risking your life.
